Behind-the-ear (BTE)
The case sits behind the pinna. A tube or wire runs to a dome in the ear. Kenyan families like BTE because you can hold it, clean it, and find it on a nightstand. Full page: BTE hearing aids Kenya.
In-the-ear (ITE)
The shell fills the bowl of the ear. More discreet in church photos. Fiddlier for a grandmother with thick fingers. ITE hearing aids.
Receiver-in-canal (RIC)
Slim behind-the-ear body, speaker in the canal. Often the best speech clarity in the home-use range. RIC hearing aids.
Invisible / CIC
Sits in the canal. The parts are small. Not the first choice if earwax is heavy or if the user cannot see the battery door. CIC hearing aids.
Rechargeable and digital costs
Rechargeable is a power system, not a shape — you can have rechargeable BTE or ITE. Digital is the processor. You can combine both in one device. Compare rechargeable versus battery.

Hearing Aids Kenya supplies ready-to-wear hearing aids and personal sound amplifiers for home use. Devices on this site do not diagnose, treat or cure hearing loss. If hearing dropped suddenly, if there is ear pain, discharge, dizziness, or you need a programmed medical-grade aid, see an ENT or licensed audiologist first. We will still help you order a home-use device after that visit.
